About The Position

This role plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors final approval of products through the complete production cycle to meet production requirements. Works from engineering plans and production specifications to ensure materials are provided according to schedules. Advises management of the status of work in progress, coordinates with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain and interfaces with engineering and program management as well as external customers. Ensures availability of materials and labor to meet production requirements and delivery commitments. Works to resolve labor and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions. Essential Functions: Working under general supervision, the successful candidate will work in a dynamic, highly engineered product environment with changing requirements and schedules, and be able to effectively interface with all levels of personnel, and can plan, organize, and track work assignments. Analyze program manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM) and schedules for the manufacturing, assembly, and test of hardware. Track both raw materials and finished parts through shop areas. Coordinate with other organizations as needed to ensure that schedule commitments are met. Interface with Operation Program Management to resolve conflicts with other programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience with ERP/MRP systems, managing material requirements and inventory data.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Costpoint.
  • Capable of generating moderately complex spreadsheets and reports utilizing: Microsoft Excel (pivot tables) and Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement
