About The Position

We are currently looking for a Specialist, Product Planning to join our team in Franklin, TN . A Day in the Life: The specialist of the “ sqV / sqU ” team defines the lineup for the next generation of vehicles and powertrains for Nissan and Infiniti brands sold in North America. As a specialist you will support in the development of strategies of the future product portfolio to ensure achievement of the North American positioning, sales and profit goals. We are looking for someone to join the team who is driven, curious, and loves the challenge of solving complex problems.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from an accredited university (Economics, Social Sciences, Marketing, Engineering or a related field is preferred)
  • Experience: Work experience or coursework must include broad base of analytical aptitude in utilizing historical, statistical, and empirical data, project management and development.
  • Experience working in collaborative teams to drive toward a long-term project result.

  • Ability to communicate and negotiate with excellent oral/written/ presentation communication and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, familiarity with SAS/SPSS or similar statistical software preferred.
  • Prior experience with Customer Research related to Vehicle or Consumer Product trends preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data mining and analysis to extract focused customer insights to deeply understand the market and customer.
  • Support robust, data-driven proposals to drive decision-making involving product portfolio direction and to acquire approvals with Global Advanced Planning, Regional Product Managers, and Nissan Americas Executives.
  • Collaborates with other departments, regions/locations, and within cross-functional teams to appropriately support Product Planning within various points of the upstream vehicle development process.
  • Engage in weekly communication and negotiation with local and global counterparts as needed to drive priorities forward and close open issues on an annual basis.
  • Analyze and plan Nissan and Infiniti product portfolios vs. competitors.
  • Analyze and plan Nissan and Infiniti powertrains vs. competitors.
  • Study and locate opportunities due to changing consumer and market trends.
  • Define early product direction.
  • Role in lineup and how it supports the Nissan and Infiniti brands.
