The Specialist Design Verification Cybersecurity Software Engineer is responsible for a variety of software verification and validation (V&V) activities including process development, project planning, developing test procedures, developing software to automate testing, and providing reports. Key areas of responsibility include verification of medical device embedded software, evaluating and testing medical device cybersecurity, validation of software related to product testing, and development of scripts/tools to automate embedded software testing including Cybersecurity. This role will participate in code reviews, comply with software standards, and produce clear concise documentation that complies with internal processes and regulatory agency requirements. As a Specialist Software Design Verification Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Creating and maintaining processes and procedures supporting Software Design Verification and Cybersecurity Testing. Developing V&V software test project plans including regression planning and testing of software during the development process. Developing V&V software test procedures using current industry standards (e.g. ISO, IEEE, CMMI). Effectively managing test project schedules by communicating project workload, executing these planned activities, and coordinating with the larger project team. Planning and executing team meetings including, but not limited to Test Approach, Test Readiness, and Pre-Release Review. Participates in project team meetings. Generating test guidelines for the software team, Quality and Engineering groups for testing software during development; designing and building tools/ fixtures for embedded software during the development phase. Developing and implementing automated test procedures to streamline testing processes. Placing a strong emphasis on continuous improvement and cost-effective innovation through new and improved technologies and innovative processes. Developing nimble test scripts/tools to automate embedded software system testing. Testing needs will change with each embedded software release, and the automated testing will need to be modular. Coordinating test activities with the project team. Reviewing test results and investigating, if issues occur. Generating software test documentation compliant aligned with Solventum procedures. Training new software design verification engineers and test technicians to Solventum software verification and validation processes, including Cybersecurity.
