Commercial Surety Underwriting Assistant Provide support to Underwriters and agents by assisting with new business submissions, inquiries, and all matters related to Commercial Surety. Process transactions within Nationwide’s systems, including new billings, adjustments, cancellations, reinstatements, and other policy changes. Enter and maintain new account information in Nationwide’s systems on behalf of the Underwriting team. Update financial information, including entering revised financial statements into the Financial Analysis Worksheet within Nationwide’s systems and completing EDF‑X calculations using Moody’s application. Modify account details—such as rates, commissions, and related data—based on Underwriter instructions. Support underwriting initiatives by assisting with projects and tasks as requested by Underwriters. Process Broker of Record (BOR) changes in Nationwide’s systems and provide all required documentation to the newly designated agent. Issue customs bonds in accordance with established procedures. Process and review renewal accounts, ensuring files are reviewed 90 days prior to expiration in alignment with the monthly renewal queue. Review the monthly bordereau and address any required updates or follow‑up items. Distribute active line cards to agents upon request or as needed. Provide support to the Commercial Underwriting Assistant team on commercial surety matters when additional assistance is required. Seeking at least three years of surety experience, preferably commercial surety experience. Central or Eastern time zone location preferred. This role does not qualify for employer-sponsored work authorization.
