About The Position

This position involves coordinating, monitoring, and performing specialized technical processes and related functions directly related to assembly activities within the Plant Engineering & Maintenance Department in an automotive manufacturing environment. The goal is to meet and exceed company objectives. Key aspects include developing, coordinating, and leading maintenance activities for all mechanical equipment in general assembly, as well as generating, analyzing, and developing countermeasures for downtime incidents. The role also requires providing technical direction and support for troubleshooting, proposing solutions, and resolving issues. Responsibilities extend to developing preventative maintenance plans in SAP, maintaining spare parts, designing new installations, monitoring contractor work for quality assurance, and providing technical training to Team Members. The specialist will also support continuous improvement activities, develop technical presentations, and ensure compliance with Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements. This may include handling hazardous wastes in compliance with RCRA regulations, with relevant training provided if assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree desired
  • 0 – 10 years of job-related experience desired

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and lead activities in the maintenance of all mechanical equipment in general assembly.
  • Generate, analyze, and develop countermeasures for downtime incidents.
  • Provide technical direction and support to identify and troubleshoot problems, propose countermeasures; resolve issues.
  • Develop preventative maintenance plan in the SAP system.
  • Maintain spare parts for mechanical equipment within the SAP system.
  • Design new installation as needed for replacement equipment.
  • Monitor contractor work for quality assurance.
  • Provide technical training and advice to Team Members as needed.
  • Support and/or lead continuous improvement activities.
  • Develop, document, and provide technical presentations.
  • Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.
  • Team Member may be required to handle hazardous wastes which may include identifying, inspecting, packaging, labelling, and moving waste in compliance with RCRA regulations.
