Mobile Engineer (Meijer) – JLL What this job involves: As a Mobile Engineer with JLL serving Meijer facilities, you'll be the technical backbone ensuring optimal facility operations across multiple locations. This critical role combines hands-on expertise in HVAC/R systems, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment maintenance with proactive problem-solving to minimize downtime and maximize energy efficiency. You'll work independently across assigned facilities, performing both preventive maintenance and emergency repairs while maintaining the highest safety standards. Your technical expertise directly supports Meijer's daily operations, ensuring comfortable shopping environments and reliable facility systems that keep business running smoothly. What your day-to-day will look like: • Operate, maintain, and repair all HVAC/R systems, electrical distribution equipment, and plumbing systems across assigned Meijer facilities • Complete preventive maintenance work orders and respond to urgent repair requests using CMMS systems like Corrigo • Perform facility inspections and assessments, documenting conditions and escalating issues to customers and management promptly • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, building interior/exterior components, and material handling systems • Travel between multiple facility locations, conducting vehicle safety inspections and maintaining driving records • Complete required safety training, hazard assessments, and comply with all state, county, and city regulations • Manage administrative tasks including P-card receipt submission, work order updates, and attendance at safety meetings

  • Travel between multiple facility locations, conducting vehicle safety inspections and maintaining driving records
  • Complete required safety training, hazard assessments, and comply with all state, county, and city regulations
  • Manage administrative tasks including P-card receipt submission, work order updates, and attendance at safety meetings
  • Minimum 4 years of technical experience in building engineering with strong HVAC/R background
  • High School diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Valid state driver's license with clean driving record
  • Universal CFC recovery certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment)
  • Physical ability to lift 80 lbs, work from heights up to 30 feet, and operate in extreme temperature conditions
  • Availability for on-call work, including weekends, holidays, and emergency response
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Third-party technical certifications in HVAC, electrical, or related trades
  • Two years of trade school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration, and HVAC
  • Working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience with CMMS systems and computerized maintenance management
  • Multi-trade skills across plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Previous experience in retail or commercial facility maintenance environments
