Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in industrial engineering or related field with a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint applications.
  • Perform work measurement and process flow analysis while developing manufacturing metrics.
  • Implement process improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing techniques.
  • Communicate excellently across all levels (both written and verbal).
  • Learn quickly and adapt to new environments.
  • Develop manufacturing work standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Black Belt, Green Belt and/or Lean Certification highly desirable.
  • Ability and drive to develop and implement innovative solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing and/or supply chain/logistics methods and processes.
  • Work experience in non-repetitive, design-to-order manufacturing environments.
  • SAP-Business Warehouse software applications.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and design sequences of operations and workflows to improve efficiencies in plant/production facilities and equipment layouts.
  • Establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.
  • Conduct studies pertaining to cost/schedule control, cost reduction, inventory control, and all phases of production record systems.
  • Develop and implement plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.
  • Provide direct support to Hangar, Dock, and Line (HDL) through problem root cause analysis and improvement recommendations/implementation.
  • Orchestrate monthly segment financial reporting including tracking of segment improvement projects, financial savings, progress, and status updates.
  • Develop, validate, implement, and maintain labor standards for a variety of manufacturing and supply chain processes.
  • Work jointly with cross-functional engineering groups performing concurrent engineering and producibility analysis.
  • Develop and implement tools/methods for measuring productivity and program cost performance (EAC/ETC).
  • Pull, analyze, and report data to support Manufacturing/Supply Chain Management in making key decisions.
  • Assist management in implementing process improvement initiatives.
  • Create Monthly Operations Review slide decks.
  • Oversee Gemba Maturity Audit.
