Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior engineering experience
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior engineering experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Systems Engineering preferred
  • Advanced communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong technical, analytical, and critical thinking / reasoning skills
  • Experience with logistics/production process flows/factory floor layout
  • Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing Principles
  • Understanding of all aspects of DoD development and program lifecycle: Design, Implementation, Verification, Production and Sustainment

Responsibilities

  • Analyze manufacturing production problems and implement corrective actions involving designs, materials, and processes
  • Provide technical expertise and support related to manufacturing
  • Incorporate new methods and processes to improve existing operations
  • Train production personnel in new or existing operations
  • Design layout of equipment and workspaces
  • Prepare reports summarizing information/trends related to manufacturing performance
  • Insure performance against organizational goals for yield and process capability
  • Actively participate in Failure Review Board (FRB) investigations
  • Partner with other organizations to create and execute improved manufacturing plans which drive measurable improvements
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement, 'Right the First Time', Safety First, Audit Ready, and Policy & Security compliance
