About the position

The position involves facilitating requisitions, inventory management, receiving, and various projects at Methodist Hospital. The role ensures that orders are filled in a timely and accurate manner, verifying products by description, item number, and quantity. The individual will inspect products for damage, expiration, and proper packaging, and perform cycle counts and physical inventories efficiently. Coordination of the availability and delivery of products, including equipment, mail, and linen, is also a key responsibility. Excellent customer service is essential, along with maintaining aisle and storeroom cleanliness. The position requires effective utilization of the Warehouse Management System (WMS), Wavemark Point of Use System (POU), and Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) to document all activities related to ordering, filling, stocking, tagging, and registering. Additionally, the role may require on-call rotation and weekend coverage, as well as operating a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates requisitions and inventory management.
  • Receives and inspects products for damage, expiration, and proper packaging.
  • Performs cycle counts and physical inventories accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinates the availability and delivery of products, including equipment, mail, and linen.
  • Provides excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent years of experience is required.
  • Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in order stocking and filling is preferred.
  • Ability to operate manual and motorized material handling equipment may be required.
  • Must obtain Material Handling Safety Training certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Requires long periods of standing and walking (up to 6+ hours per day).
  • Requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs from waist to over-the-head, and carry up to 25 lbs.

Nice-to-haves

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.
