About The Position

The Logistics - Export Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with U.S. export regulations and company standards for the Research Laboratories' exports. This role involves executing and reviewing export shipments, collaborating with various intercompany partners, and maintaining knowledge of relevant trade regulations to support effective export operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent in years of experience, in International Trade or International Business.
• Minimum of 5+ years functional expertise with international trade or international business.
• Knowledge of US Commerce and Foreign Trade Regulations, specific to exportation.
• Trade related certifications desirable.
• Prior experience interfacing with international partners.
• Experience with Microsoft software products.
• Prior experience with Global Trade Management Systems, i.e. SAP Global Trade Services, Thomson Reuters, Amber Road, or similar databases highly desirable.
• Keen attention to detail, particularly in executing and reviewing declarations and documentation for adherence to export requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform export transactions in a Global Trade Management System (GTMS) for company site and vendor site exports.
• Review and amend export transactions in a Global Trade Management System.
• Work with country requirements to provide relevant Trade Documentation.
• Act as primary contact for company shipping sites in U.S. Export Transactions.
• Work within Research & Development Division Trade Operations Standard Business Practices and align with policy set by Global Trade Compliance.
• Maintain current and comprehensive knowledge of the policies and practices of the U.S. Census, U.S. Customs and other participating government agencies involved in export regulation.
• Influence intercompany stakeholders to comply with Standard Business Practices related to trade and/or export.
• Contribute to special projects and assignments related to international trade as needed.
