About The Position

KeHE Distributors, LLC is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Leave & Accommodations Specialist to join our Corporate Human Resources department in Naperville, Illinois. This full-time position is an integral part of our Human Resources Compliance team, reporting directly to the Senior Human Resources Compliance Manager. The primary responsibility of the Leave & Accommodations Specialist is to manage all administrative requests related to the leaves of absence and accommodations program. This role requires a driven HR professional with a passion for HR Compliance, exceptional organizational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of the Leave of Absence (LOA) process, as well as applicable state leave laws. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with various Human Resources teams to foster an environment that aligns with KeHE's Culture, Mission, and Values. In this role, you will collaborate with our third-party leave administrator and Human Resources Business Partners to effectively manage the Company-wide Leaves of Absence program, which includes FMLA, non-FMLA, Military, and Personal leaves, as well as the Company's Paid Parental benefit. You will serve as a subject matter expert on leaves of absence and accommodations, providing consultation and coaching to Human Resources Business Partners. Your responsibilities will include presenting accurate information to employees regarding leave policies, processing leave requests, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws related to leaves of absence. You will also maintain complete and accurate records of leave requests and assist with special projects as needed. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of leave requirements and legal protections afforded by FMLA, ADA/ADAAA, and other statutory leave laws. Proficiency in a Human Capital Management system is essential, with experience in UKG Pro and/or Ceridian being a plus. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary to effectively present information and respond to inquiries. The ability to work under pressure, manage multiple sensitive issues, and build strong relationships in a cross-functional environment is crucial for success in this role.
