About The Position

As a Technical Sales Specialist, your role will involve boosting sales and offering assistance for Thermo Fisher Scientific Life Science Solutions Group's Protein & Cell Analysis Flow Cytometry Reagent offerings. You will interact with academic, government, and industrial clients in your designated region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Immunology, or a related field, or relevant experience equivalent to an M.Sc. or Ph.D.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a research laboratory setting using flow cytometry.
  • Previous sales experience selling consumable reagents or flow cytometry-related equipment in the RUO market.
  • Awareness of the life science marketplace, particularly the flow cytometry market, trends, and competitors.
  • Skilled in organization, showcasing the capability to strategize and carry out plans proactively.
  • Team-oriented with effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong drive to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Proficient in building and nurturing enduring connections with customers and collaborators.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey product benefits and technical information clearly.
  • Proficient at organization, capable of handling numerous tasks, prioritizing efficiently, and focusing on specifics.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and carry out sales approaches that are aligned with the objectives of the Bioscience Division, specifically concentrating on flow cytometry reagents.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities to promote our products to academic, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical customers.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships across various functions and levels within client accounts.
  • Achieve or exceed sales quotas and objectives, ensuring profitability and 100% customer happiness.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Technical, and Customer Support teams.
  • Conduct technical seminars related to the product portfolio.
  • Understand assigned products and applications, as well as competitor products' features and benefits.
  • Contribute to the North America commercial team by sharing leads, developing opportunities, and improving account penetration.
  • Train and support commercial representatives to maintain and grow key accounts.
  • Manage sales processes, including forecasting, pipeline management, and sales tracking using CRM and other IT tools.
  • Attend and support local trade shows and conferences.
