BMO Bank N.A. seeks Specialist III-IC Development in Tempe, AZ to drive the overall software development lifecycle including working across functional teams to transform requirements into features, and conducting software testing and maintenance. Translate user requirements into technical specifications, write code and manage the preparation of design specifications. Support system design, provide advice on security requirements and debug business systems and service applications. Assess impact of design decisions to the solution/product/service being developed (i.e. performance, schedule, budget, downstream component/system impact, quality, etc.) and recommend alternate/creative solutions for mitigation/optimization, if required. Recommend and implement solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business. Identify emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making. Lead and implement initiatives as required to deliver business objectives. Conduct independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues. Utilize algorithms, data structures and programming languages to develop high quality technology applications and services including tools, standards, and relevant software platforms based on business requirements. Translate user needs into technical specifications by understanding, conceptualizing, and facilitating technical requirements from user. Analyze, develop, test, and implement new software programs and documentation of entire software development life cycle execution. Lead/conduct detailed code-reviews and provides feedback in a constructive manner. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and fault rectification of system and core software components. Ensure that code/configurations adhere to the security, logging, error handling, and performance standards and non-functional requirements. Evaluate new technologies for fit with the program/system/eco-system and the associated upstream and downstream impacts on process, data, and risk. Follow release management processes and standards, and apply version controls. Support the resolution of production issues and problems. Support the management of specific project deliverables and outcomes. Identify opportunities to strengthen the development capability by sharing expertise to promote technical development, mentoring employees, and building communities of practice and networks.
