Requirements

  • Requires a minimum 3+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; or equivalent education and experience; Or an advanced degree with no previous professional experience.
  • Where required, the role must hold an appropriate degree in the industry (eg. Legal)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, configuring, and maintaining complex electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and control systems to ensure reliable plant operations. This role requires advanced troubleshooting skills, strong knowledge of industrial automation, and the ability to work with PLCs, motor drives, and HMI/SCADA systems.
  • Perform advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and debugging to identify root causes and restore equipment functionality.
  • Read, interpret, and work from complex electrical and mechanical schematics, including wiring diagrams for integrated electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot communication and network issues involving PLCs, motor drives, and industrial computer servers.
  • Configure, repair, and maintain AC/DC motor drives and other complex electrical components.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot custom Wonderware (HMI/SCADA) applications.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems, components, and industrial equipment.
  • Evaluate electrical systems and components through testing, analysis, and application of electrical and materials principles.
  • Maintain equipment reliability by following manufacturer specifications, preventive maintenance schedules, and established procedures.
  • Document all preventive and corrective maintenance activities using the computerized maintenance management system.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, complete required safety and hazard training.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing training, workshops, and professional development activities.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to support production goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Draft and execute equipment Installation Qualification (IQ) validation protocol.
