About The Position

The purpose of this role is to serve as the central hub of responsibility, championing and ensuring high levels of pricing integrity and accuracy in all stores across the brand to earn and maintain the trust of the customer. This role leverages both deep pricing and tag management process expertise and store operational knowledge to effectively partner with store leadership and file clerks to assess, identify, coach, and troubleshoot systemic opportunities related to pricing accuracy execution. In turn, this role also partners cross-functionally with Pricing, Marketing, and Department Specialists serving as the key subject matter expert for efficient operational pricing accuracy execution practices and leading the continuous improvement and problem resolution supporting the communication and implementation of weekly in-store signage and tag packages, ad hoc market programs, holiday programs, and/or category price adjustments, and market-based price investments. As the brand's file maintenance operational subject-matter expert, this role also leads and facilitates the Store File Maintenance Committee soliciting feedback and providing operational support to identify and resolve problems to enhance the brand's compliance and customer experience related to pricing accuracy.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years grocery store exempt experience, strongly preferred
  • 3-5 years cross-functional experience supporting store operations in functions such as pricing, commercial planning or omnichannel marketing, preferred but not required
  • Bachelor's degree required or 10+ years of equivalent professional experience
  • Total store operations, including Standard Operating Procedures and compliance audit measurements, as it relates to pricing, in-store signage, and tag standards across all departments
  • Deep understanding of the importance of accurate store pricing, tags, and signage
  • Proven ability to manage and execute store file maintenance processes such as batch manager, Kameleon, weekly ad changeover
  • Strong ability to assess and analyze processes, examining breakdowns and recommending improvements to simplify and/or enhance customer experience and compliance standards
  • Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills, required
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with associates and management at all levels within both retail and corporate environments
  • Strong planning & organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and cross-functional relationships
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint
  • Results driven, with demonstrated accountability for self and others
  • Ability to travel within the brand, across all regions and districts, approximately 25% of time
  • Possible night or weekend work, if needed
  • Strong focus on customer service with a sense of urgency and excellent follow-through
  • Experience and desire to provide coaching and support tools to help others follow file maintenance processes and standards
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and influence others to gain agreement on solutions that balance the needs of the business and customer with compliance and brand standards
  • Deep active listening and empathy skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and brand-wide execution of store level signs, pricing, and tag standards
  • Ensure file maintenance standards are applied and communicated across all departments in all stores across the brand
  • Serve as subject-matter expert and Operations Support liaison on all aspects of file maintenance with Marketing and Pricing teams, advising and co-creating best practices, labor requirements, and/or playbooks to communicate and implement programs
  • Identify areas of opportunities from audits in partnership with Compliance department, partner with functional areas of the business needed and maintain reporting to ensure the issue is resolved
  • Create and communicate new initiatives and best practices to Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs), District Directors (DDs), store teams, and file maintenance clerks to ensure they are executed
  • Coach, support, and advise Field Specialists on the execution and compliance of all pricing and tag standards and identified opportunities across the brand
  • Develop new standard operating procedures (SOPs) as needed for new processes
  • Generate and distribute weekly report metrics to ensure compliance with pricing standards
  • Lead and facilitate the File Maintenance Store Committee forums by creating agendas, leading discussions, tracking issue identification, exploring root causes and cross-functional solutions to problems, and reporting senior leadership on progress, best practices, and next steps
  • Create and provide reporting and best practices for using Kamelon at store level to ensure proper signage across departments
  • Create and provide reporting on core audit compliance results for price accuracy, providing root cause analysis in underperforming stores and coordinate action plans with store teams to improve and sustain results
