About The Position

The Sales Support Specialist supports the CVIO and MPS sales teams within the Nordson Medical Surgical Solutions division by enabling efficient sales execution, customer advocacy, and data‑driven decision‑making. This role is responsible for managing CRM and sales data, supporting pipeline and forecasting activities, enhancing customer experiences, and collaborating cross‑functionally to align commercial activity with strategic business objectives. As a trusted partner to Sales and Clinical teams, the Senior Sales Support Specialist contributes directly to sales performance, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering from four-year college or university
  • 1-3 years’ experience in sales support preferred.
  • Commercial experience/exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Support: Provide comprehensive support to the sales and clinical team, including but not limited to quote preparation, EOL Letters, and product information requests.
  • Commercial Support: Identify and qualify opportunities, manage the competitive sales process, forecast, quotes, and negotiations.
  • Participation in Collaboration: Actively participates in interdepartmental cooperation as necessary within the organization, which may involve attending PIT Meetings and company operational meetings, among other activities.
  • Sales Analytics: Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities, helping the sales team make informed decisions.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve sales processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
  • Customer Relations: Serve as a customer advocate by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive buying experience while building and maintaining strategic relationships with customers, distributors, and representatives in alignment with Nordson Medical Surgical Solutions’ objectives.
  • CRM Pipeline Management: Effectively uses CRM to properly manage sales opportunities to report on initiatives, pipeline and overall sales activities
  • Inventory Management: Collaborate with supply chain and production teams to manage inventory levels, ensure product availability, and contribute to monthly sales forecasting, activity tracking, and pipeline reporting.
  • Reporting: Generate and present reports on sales performance, market trends, and key performance indicators.
  • Training: Assist in the training and onboarding of new sales team members, providing guidance on sales tools and processes.
