About The Position

The Production Maintenance Specialist helps to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency of manufacturing equipment. Performs installation, maintenance, and repairs on production line manufacturing equipment. Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard electronic and mechanical equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions. Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs. Use a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment. Execute preventative maintenance work orders. Work in multiple room environments including noisy, dusty, and GMP clean rooms. Requires heavy lifting, handling of chemicals, and general computer skills. This is a 1st Shift 6am to 2:30pm, Monday - Friday

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED with minimum of 3 years related experience or the equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting aptitude
  • Able to work self-sufficiently as well as be a team player
  • Ability to work on-call as necessary
  • Knowledge of cGMP procedures and/or experience working in a cGMP environment a plus (Where reference is made to regulatory environment requirements and/or compliance this includes all applicable regulations i.e. FDA, ISO 13485, European requirements, etc.)

  • Vocational or technical school training a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on production equipment including, but not limited to, custom filling machines, commercial printers, chemical processing equipment
  • Perform mechanical work on equipment with strong attention to detail under pressure while maintaining focus.
  • Respond in a timely manner to service/emergency calls
  • Work an on-call schedule of off-shift hours or weekends to support production requirements.
  • Inspect manufacturing equipment and operations routinely to ensure systems are working properly
  • Make repairs to equipment, apply troubleshooting methods, replace parts, and run tests to ensure equipment functionality
  • Ability Multi-task and manage time accordingly
  • Enter work performed into work order system
  • Follow cGMP practices when performing and recording work
  • Works in a cleanroom environment routinely while adhering to required gowning and safety protocols
  • Assist Facilities Department with general maintenance functions
  • Responsible for observing all Company, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines
