About The Position

Provides specialized professional support services to administrators and/or project managers in the administration of research and/or administrative projects. Assists in the administration and coordination of a variety of research and/or administrative projects including planning, budgeting, organizing, research and delivery of services. Coordinates and supervises work assignments of other administrative personnel as assigned. Collaborates with project stakeholders from across various departments to achieve project goals. Essential Duties: 1. Requirements

  • High School or equivalent
  • 2 years Experience in Patient Financial Services/Revenue Cycle, or Managed Care Contracting in an acute care hospital.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Public Speaking/Presentation Skills.
  • Organization/time management skills.
  • Well organized, self-motivated, detailed oriented and handle multiple projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Knowledge of patient accounting key principals.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to multi task.
  • Intermediate knowledge of managed care and other healthcare contract language.
  • Intermediate understanding of ICD10, HCPCS/CPT coding, medical terminology and hospital bill form requirements (UB04).
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel to create pivot tables, v-lookup functions, and query writing.
  • Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)
