About The Position

The Office of the University Registrar at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK) invites applications and nominations for our Specialist for Academic Records and Registration position. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service or administrative support role.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree or higher.
  • 1 year of professional experience in higher education.
  • 1 year experience with computer information systems, particularly database-driven software solutions, or equivalent combination.
  • 2 years of experience in customer service or administrative support role.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key front-line representative for the Office of the University Registrar, providing essential customer service and support to students, alumni, faculty, staff, and parents.
  • Handle daily processes related to academic records, course registration, transcript request processing, and document management.
  • Generate and verify enrollment and degree letters.
  • Process transcript requests and review repeat courses for compliance with institutional policies.
  • Maintain student records and update the student information systems.
  • Demonstrate strong multitasking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with team members and adapt to the dynamic needs of the office.
