About The Position

The Specialist, Food & Beverage is responsible for assisting community Food and Beverage teams at the direction of the Senior Vice President of Operations. This position provides on-site support to assigned community through day-to-day operational leadership, training initiatives, and customer service excellence. In this position, your main responsibilities will include: Serve as the on-site interim Director, Food & Beverage if a community Director, Food and Beverage position is vacant. Assist with the on-boarding of new Directors of Food and Beverage, then provides ongoing support and mentorship to incumbent Directors of Food and Beverage. Reinforce at-risk communities through additional support of culinary operations, front of house service, recruiting, hiring, training, fiscal oversight, resident satisfaction, and program improvements. Collaborates with Food and Beverage regional and executive leadership on the launch and consistent execution of menus, culinary standards, service goals, quality control, policies, and procedures. Up to 75% travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Culinary, Hospitality Management or related field.
  • 2 years supervisory experience in kitchen operations with expertise in the front and back of the house.
  • Advanced knowledge of food & beverage products, food handling and preparation processes, kitchen operations, relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
  • Expert knowledge of and skilled in operation, oversight, and training of all kitchen equipment.
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with speed and efficiency.
  • Ability to work effectively with different levels of professional personnel
  • Up to 75% travel.

  • Senior living experience preferred.
