About The Position

L3Harris is looking for a Field Technician to support multiple programs as part of our Flight Test and Field Service team. You will support a variety of events in a lab setting and in the field. You will be responsible for providing technical support for various efforts involving ground support systems, aircraft systems and flight testing. This position requires a mechanically proficient self-starter that is motivated to contribute to mission success.

Requirements

• Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience OR Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience OR High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
• Active US DOD TOP SECRET or TS/SCI security clearance.
• 2+ years’ experience in a field service or aircraft maintenance role with hands on hardware experience.

• Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Hands on technical support during flight test events.
• Assist various engineering teams with product design, development, testing and troubleshooting.
• Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS up to 50% of the time.
• Occasionally work long hours (12+) in hot/cold environments.
• Occasionally work holidays, weekends and short notice travel.
• Communicate effectively and coordinate with a variety of stakeholders – Internal, Commercial and Government.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted or 100 lbs. as part of a two-person team.
