About The Position

The Facilities Specialist at Chipotle Mexican Grill plays a crucial role in overseeing the maintenance and repair of restaurant facilities. Requirements

• Strong trade knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, commercial cooking equipment, appliance repair, and basic HVAC/refrigeration.
• Knowledge of rules and regulations governing facilities safety requirements.
• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple schedules effectively.
• Clear and patient communication skills for training on facility maintenance and repair concepts.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report for travel between restaurants.
• B.A./B.S. in a related field or equivalent education and experience with two years of training in facility repair and maintenance.

• Experience with restaurant equipment, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, or appliance repair.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Facilities Manager by supervising facility aspects of restaurant management at the market level.
• Perform facility maintenance and repair through monthly site visits and analysis of restaurants.
• Formulate preventative maintenance schedules for the safe, efficient, and effective operation of restaurant facilities.
• Carry out set procedures in the event facilities cease functioning or present a threat to health and safety.
• Train managers, crew, and other restaurant staff on managing and maintaining restaurant facilities.
• Ensure adherence to facility maintenance practices and procedures by restaurant staff.
• Conduct detailed facility maintenance and repair seminars.
• Provide comprehensive maintenance visit recaps to the Operations Team and Regional Facility Manager.
• Identify issues contributing to higher maintenance and repair costs and communicate them to relevant parties.
• Guide restaurants on maintaining and updating facility records.
• Perform regular equipment and building repairs as needed.
• Conduct new store turnover and inspections with contractors and the Operations Team.
• Serve as a liaison between restaurants, landlords, contractors, and vendors for facility repairs.
• Assist Operations Team in investigating and escalating facilities issues as necessary.
• Represent facilities at operations management meetings and communicate back to management.
• Provide field support to the Development Department regarding regional initiatives and needs.
• Communicate contractor deficiencies on repair projects and follow Development Department guidelines.
