About The Position

Executes environmental compliance programs and technical studies by conducting impact assessments, monitoring regulatory requirements, and maintaining compliance systems to ensure operational integrity, while providing expertise to support environmental initiatives and drive continuous performance improvement. Provides environmental expertise through comprehensive assessments, inspections, and technical studies to support the development and implementation of effective solutions. Prepares detailed reports, compliance plans, and regulatory documentation to meet agency requirements and funding obligations. Serves as a liaison with regulatory agencies and support audits, inspections and environmental program implementations. Monitors data systems and environmental compliance to identify potential risks or process-effectiveness gaps recommending corrective actions to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, company standards and continuous improvement. Delivers training and guidance to stakeholders to enhance understanding and adoption of best practices. Follows established company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and industry regulations. Directs responses to environmental incidents, including coordinating field efforts and preparing regulatory reports. Performs additional tasks aligned with role expectations and qualifications to support team goals and operational flexibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental sciences, natural sciences or a related field
  • 5 years' experience with environmental compliance role responsibilities, and working with data collection, analysis and interpretation.
  • Experience working with documents, policies, SOP creation and implementation.
  • Experience leading or collaborating with small projects.
  • Experience as matter-expert and asset resource to provide support to internal/external clients.
  • Valid Driver’s License in Puerto Rico

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineering License issued by the Puerto Rico Examining Board for Engineers, Architects, Surveyors and Landscape Architects is preferred
