About The Position

Join our incredible team at Royal Caribbean Group as a full-time Specialist in Entertainment Audio & Visual Support. This position is based in our Royal Caribbean Productions facility in North Miami. You will operate and oversee the sound, light, and visual equipment in our in-house rehearsal facility, ensuring everything is set up and maintained for rehearsals, meetings, presentations, and special events. Collaborating with senior leadership, you will support the technical evolution of our rehearsal studios.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Fine Arts / Technical Theater or demonstrated relevant industry experience.
  • 2 - 5 years professional experience in sound, light, and audio visual.
  • Knowledge and experience in PC, Mac, and software: Office 365, Excel, Smartsheet, and Word.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to manage last minute emergencies.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Component level troubleshooting for related a/v equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in scenic, prop, and carpentry.
  • Experience implementing production shows onboard ships or theatrical productions.
  • Familiarity with performer flying and entertainment rigging.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and repair sound, light, and video equipment at the Royal Production Studio.
  • Prepare rooms in advance of new cast rehearsals.
  • Conduct weekly check-ins on running rehearsals to monitor equipment care and maintenance.
  • Provide high-level operational training for production teams and shoreside staff on audio, visual, and lighting equipment.
  • Retain equipment providers and repair vendors; purchase equipment as needed.
  • Maintain and oversee inventory of all a/v equipment.
  • Maintain the Qlab carts and files for Musical Theatre product rehearsals.
  • Prepare documents and quotes for studio repairs and upgrades to a/v equipment.
  • Monitor and track all budgetary items related to studio audio visual requirements.
  • Assist with daily studio readiness to support rehearsing production needs.
  • Create weekly reports for all sound issues and repairs.
  • Support organization of all scenic, prop, supplies, and audio-visual equipment.
  • Record, stream, distribute, and archive all video recordings of studio Office Runs.
  • Assist production teams with additional daily support requests.
  • Assist in building and maintaining daily/future scheduling of production requirements.
  • Primary operator for lighting and sound consoles in support of final runs and events.
  • Set up rooms for company events at the studios as requested by Senior Management.
