We are currently seeking a Senior Principal Engineer, reporting directly to the hiring manager to join our Structural team based in Houston, Texas. Job Purpose Technical responsibility of material requisitions / calculations / engineering deliverables (from technical specifications to on-site delivery) for civil site and drainage works.

Requirements

Engineering degree
Experience in design and execution of projects as discipline lead in conventional energy projects or new energy transition projects
Familiarity with all technical aspects of the discipline and experience in most of them
Construction experience on site
Fluency in professional English
Professional Engineering registration in Texas and/or Louisiana or possess ability to obtain within 4 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Ensures timely and qualitative preparation of technical specifications and requisitions / CN / stress report / engineering deliverables in coordination with other disciplines.
Ensures contractual technical specifications are met by external parties / suppliers.
Ensures proper communication with vendors and technical follow up of the orders.
Adheres to project target and priority such as technical robustness, budget & schedule target
Proposes alternate for cost & schedule savings, energy savings in line with project target
Ensures timely reporting on engineering / requisitioning activities to the Lead Discipline Engineer.
Meets quality and HSE objectives of the project.
Interfaces with other discipline specialist engineers and possibly project support functions such as procurement and planning.
Supports more junior engineering employees.
For small requisition / standard equipment, acts as project manager for his requisition in charge of technical, contractual, expediting and inspection with spot support from project / procurement.
Overall responsibility for engineering / contractual & quality control surveillance for civil site and drainage works.
