About The Position
MP Materials is seeking a hands-on Specialist in Drafting to be an integral part of its Electrical and Controls Engineering team as we design and build a new metal, alloy, and magnet-making facility. This is a rare opportunity to have a central role in the development of a greenfield advanced manufacturing facility and help to define the future of American manufacturing. The ideal candidate is strongly electrically inclined. This position will require a combination of both strong technical skills to support equipment and process design, and a hands-on nature to support the successful sourcing, construction, and commissioning of the designs. The new facility will contain a broad range of chemical, mechanical, and thermal processes, and it will be important for the Electrical and Controls Designer to engage with a broad range of technical specialists to gain a working understanding of the processes characteristics, requirements, and potential hazards and risks to generate the different electrical and control designs required, identify gaps in specifications and provide solutions to the team.
