About The Position

The Specialist-Document (Enteral Nutrition Authorizations) role at Indiana University Health involves obtaining insurance authorizations for home tube feedings and oral nutrition supplements, as well as managing mail processing duties. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Health care experience required.
• Experience with insurance authorizations preferred.
• Proficiency with document imaging systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Obtain insurance authorizations for home tube feedings and oral nutrition supplements.
• Prepare incoming mail for distribution and process outgoing mail.
• Distribute and collect mail.
• Obtain supporting clinical documentation and CMNs from prescribers.
• Log and enter authorization information into the Home Care EMR (Brightree).
