Qualifications POSITION SUMMARY The DGR Training Specialist will report to and work in conjunction with the DGR Training and Optimization Manager to design, develop, coordinate, and deliver highly engaging, performance-based, learner-centric training and coaching solutions to enhance DGR team member capabilities needed to achieve DGR and personal goals.

Requirements

  • Two years’ expert training facilitation and solid instructional design experience required.
  • Three years’ experience, team building and coaching to improve performance and two year’s retail, logistics, warehouse and/or safety experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in education, business, marketing, merchandising or related field.
  • Minimum four years work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively collaborate with multiple business units and all levels of the organization to assess needs, develop and deliver training as promised.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) required.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.
  • For positions that require driving, must maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage, and be able to travel as needed if you drive your vehicle during company business.

Nice To Haves

  • Skills in E-Learning Authoring Tools, SharePoint, Yammer, SnagIt, Brainshark and Learning Management Systems strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with all departments/stores to determine needs and to give and receive feedback and coaching.
  • Keep learning materials up to date based on business data, trends and updates to operational processes.
  • Creates blended learning solutions for technical and soft-skills.
  • Writes/builds training materials including outlines, job-aids, work instructions, classroom materials, on-the-job training guides, e-learning modules, posters, hand-outs, infographics, videos, quizzes and worksheets.
  • Facilitates leadership and operational training via a group setting, virtual webinar/teleconference as well as one-on-one.
  • Collaborates with DGR leadership to enhance, train and maintain high standards of in-store customer experience, utilizing customer service satisfaction survey process and mystery shop evaluation process.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of training by assessing learning and application of learning to job performance as measured against business goals and objectives.
  • Measures progress and effectiveness of training through capturing feedback and gathering data through observation and testing.
  • Prepares comprehensive analysis and reports of data and identifies recommendations to improve.
