About The Position

The Specialist, Destination Management Turnaround Operations Support plays a crucial role in supporting the Turnaround Operations team at Royal Caribbean Group. This position focuses on all operational components related to guests' pre/post experiences, ensuring seamless execution from development to implementation. The specialist will work closely with various departments to enhance operational practices and maintain high-quality standards in the cruise industry.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality, Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, Logistics, or similar.
  • 5+ years of experience in the cruise/travel industry, with operational/logistical experience preferred.
  • In-depth logistical knowledge of operations in the travel/cruise industry and geography.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with ground operator contacts and suppliers.
  • Familiarity with shore side programs (e.g., Hotels, Ground Services, Tours, and Transfers).
  • Results-driven and strategic thinker.
  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with a positive, helpful team-player attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strength in communicating in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project required; familiarity with PowerBI system essential.

Responsibilities

  • Specializes in all operational aspects and crucial components of the airport, hotel, and pier operations.
  • Enforces and trains both internally and externally on comprehensive operational and contingency plans for turnaround ports.
  • Assists in scouting, sourcing, and maintaining tour operating relationships while providing guidance on the company's overall mission and quality benchmarks.
  • Gathers and interprets data to help improve processes, optimize results, and make strategic decisions.
  • Responsible for the integration and implementation of staffing balances at turnaround ports.
  • Works closely with the Manifest Coordinator to develop/enhance current reporting processes.
  • Maintains knowledge of industry's best practices for turnaround operations and identifies competitive opportunities.
  • Ensures site inspection reports are completed and properly stored post-travel for future reference and departmental knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborates with other departments to achieve alignment, including charter air programs and business requests from charters and incentive groups.
  • Contributes to the integration of special projects from both operational and analytical perspectives as requested.
  • Develops and maintains a sustainable process for submitting incident report submissions and ensures accuracy for every voyage.
  • Ensures proper operational information for internal departments is distributed and utilized effectively.
