About The Position

Reporting to the NPI Area Manager, the Specialist Delivery (NPI) contributes to execution of construction strategies, standards/ frameworks and integration and interface management across the projects lifecycle to ensure delivery in line with the approved statement of requirements.In this role, you will: Develop project deliverables and integrate project work across disciplines and functions. Seeks to understand how your work contributes to the direction and targets of the team and needs of customers. Identify and assess risks, make risk informed decisions, uses BHP's risk management framework and build a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes. Reviews and raises change requests for projects in a timely manner to support forward planning and corrective action where required. Support document control processes to ensure accurate and up-to-date project documentation Collaborate with site engineering, commissioning, operations, and maintenance teams to identify and solve construction problems. Identify, engage, and manage a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders Monitor and manage project performance to deliver projects in line with safety standards, requirements, budget and scope. Determine the underlying cause of problems and evaluate multiple solutions to ensure a planned and structured approach to solving complex problems Manage contract execution and analysis to maximize operational and financial performance and mitigate exposure and risk.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical/Civil/Electrical).
  • 2 years of design/construction/project experience.
  • 1 year of project management.
  • Previous experience in a construction or engineering environment.
  • Ability and drive to understand the scope and swiftly close out technical issues with consultation from engineering and construction team.
