Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience in a professional work environment
• Experience in import/export operations activities
• Knowledge of US Customs Rules and Regulations
• Microsoft Office and Outlook required

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Related Field preferred
• Auditing Experience preferred
• SAP and ecVision preferred

Responsibilities

• Support import documentation: Assure accuracy and integrity of all the company’s import documentation and formal entries into the U.S. in addition to preparing and coordinating the import and classification process related to pre/post entry activities
• Partner externally: Ensure high performance from our service providers clearing our products and passengers through Customs & other Government Agencies to their destination
• Classify products: Assure accurate classification of all products imported/exported by Caleres to achieve lowest most favorable duty rates
• Document updated classifications: Ensure internal systems are updated with correct classification information
• Become a subject matter expert: Understand & support Customs Compliance Rules & Regulations related to Import/Export
• Communicate with shipping partners: Promptly respond to our ocean and air brokers, UPS and FedEx requests for missing information and/or documents to clear shipments
