Support the Culinary Innovation team by assisting in the development and testing of new menu items and ingredients. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure projects meet brand standards, operational feasibility and best in class consumer experiences.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelors Degree
  • Additional education (major, etc.): Food Science, Culinary or related field
  • 1-5 years combined experience in product development and education
  • Proficient computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills
  • Creative thinker with ability to achieve results in a dynamic environment
  • Passion for food
  • Expected Work Location (In Office) : It is expected that you will primarily perform work at the Wendy's Restaurant Support Center (RSC) (1 Dave Thomas Blvd, Dublin, OH 43017), or at other location(s) as designated by the Company. You are required to work in the office at least 4 days a week. Changes to work location arrangements are subject to managerial approval and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Support Product Development
  • Assist in creating prototypes and preparing samples for internal reviews and testing.
  • Conduct rigorous testing: portion studies, temperature and yield studies
  • Validate equipment compatibility and operational feasibility in restaurant environments
  • Document findings and share results with manager in a clear format.
  • Coordinate Supplier Activities
  • Schedule and organize meetings, demos, and tastings with supplier partners.
  • Provide structured and timely feedback to suppliers following product reviews.
  • Stay informed on supplier capabilities and emerging technologies to leverage for future projects.
  • Research Culinary Trends
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive offerings to inform innovation projects.
  • Compile research into concise reports for team discussions.
  • Ensure compliance with ingredient standards and nutritional guidelines.
  • Team Collaboration & Development
  • Work closely with senior team members to learn best practices in culinary innovation.
  • Build technical and project management skills.
  • Contribute to a positive and creative team environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to build business acumen.
  • Be agile and willing to adapt strategy in a fast-paced environment.
