About The Position
The Specialist/Coordinator for Healthy Food Access is pivotal in implementing and managing Build Back Healthy Food Access at Akoma Market initiatives. This position will lead the development and execution of strategies to revitalize the Akoma Market as a vibrant hub for healthy food access, community engagement, and economic development within the Black Cultural Zone. This role will focus on returning the certified farmers market to Akoma Market, connecting existing community gardens and healthy food partners, and expanding healthy food access programs throughout the Black Cultural Zone, including 'food as medicine' initiatives. Key responsibilities will include developing and executing strategies to revitalize the Akoma Market as a vibrant hub for healthy food access, community engagement, and economic development within the Black Cultural Zone.
