About The Position

The Specialist Clinical Informatics role is a full-time position based in Jacksonville, Florida, operating in a hybrid model (3 days in-office, 2 days remote). This position involves collaboration with customers, Information Services, vendors, peers in the informatics role, and other key stakeholders to develop and execute information technology plans, including software applications and hardware related to clinical workflows. The specialist will interact daily with staff to communicate and resolve information technology needs, acting as an advocate for staff regarding clinical IT issues. The role serves as a key link between medical staff, nursing staff, other clinical users, senior administration, and Information Services. Utilizing knowledge of clinical workflow, the specialist will provide input into application development, implementation, training, and continuous support, ultimately supporting the organization's mission of excellent patient care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Over 5 years of healthcare experience.
  • Experience with EMR systems, preferably Epic.
  • Experience in training and education development.
  • Project management experience.
  • Programming/coding skills.
  • Technical problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in system implementation coordination.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in informatics.
  • Experience in informatics and IT.
  • Epic certifications.
  • Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Florida.
  • IT certifications.
  • ANCC Informatics board certification.

Responsibilities
