Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled qualified artisan to join our team at Worcester Dried Fruit Plant. The ideal candidate will be an experienced artisan with a strong background in both industrial electrical systems and a wide range of electronic-controlled machinery. This is a critical, hands-on role focused on maintaining the safety, quality and efficiency of our plant's electrical and electronic infrastructure. The candidate will be a key part of our maintenance team, responsible for the full scope of electrical installations, from new projects to routine maintenance. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can handle breakdowns swiftly and is committed to continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 5 Years’ Relevant Experience
• Relevant Technical Trade
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• New and existing electrical installations
• Preventative maintenance on all machinery and equipment
• Breakdown handling when necessary
• Motor gearbox wiring and controls
• Switchgear and other controls
• FMCG packing machinery
• Electronic colour sorting machinery. Settings and maintenance
• Metal detectors and production scales and multihead weighers
• Network related issues on biometric readers, computers, telephones, printers, switches etc.
• Communication with all departments in the factory
• Interaction with suppliers and contractors
• Quotation handling from suppliers
• Project management for smaller projects. Assistance with bigger projects with his manager
• Automation requirements for our factory machinery
• Pneumatic maintenance
• Controlled systems like e/stop controls, safety sensors, plc’s etc. as prescribed in the safety standard
• CoC’s issuing changes to electrical network
• Continuous improvement is a constant focus
• Safety and food safety systems integration
• Adhoc Forklift maintenance
• Being on standby on a rotation basis with rest of the team
• Handling call-out when necessary
