This role is responsible for supporting the financial statement preparation and management of internal business partner relationships, including (but not limited to) the following: Preparation of quarterly and annual Blue Blank statutory filings Support for NF audited financial statements (GAAP and STAT) across multiple entities, including NFS, NLIC, NLAIC, NLBIC, JNL, and Eagle NF Segment GAAP analytics Long Duration Targeted Improvements (LDTI) Management of auditor (KPMG) deliverables and communications Research and application of NAIC instructions and other regulatory requirements Analytical review of statutory financial statements Additionally, this role will assist in implementing continuous improvement project opportunities within reporting and providing ongoing ad-hoc support for leadership and business partner requests. The role skillset requires a strong self-starter with a high degree of project management and organization skills, engaged in continuous improvement with a focus on new technology capabilities, problem solving skills, an analytic mindset, and the ability to quickly adapt. An understanding of technical accounting principles, familiarity with GAAP/Statutory reporting requirements and process, and the ability to comfortably utilize multiple software solutions are preferred. This is a hybrid position located in Columbus Ohio and you will be required to come into the office two days per week. This role does not qualify for employer sponsored work authorization. Nationwide does not participate in the STEM OPT extension program.
