The University Special Services Officer provides for the general protection of life and property throughout the APU community and the campus facilities. The officer will patrol the campus to proactively remove opportunities for crimes to occur. This is an emergency response position, and at any time, there may be a need to immediately respond to security, safety, life-threatening, or other urgent situations. The Special Services Officer must be flexible to be assigned any shift, based on the needs of the department, which could include working holidays and weekends. This position is full-time, 36 hours a week, working three 12-hour shifts.
