About The Position

SAIC has an opening for a Senior Special Security Representative/Construction Surveillance Technician located aboard Twentynine Palms, CA. The candidate will be responsible for providing specialized security expertise for the Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) in direct support of the Special Security Officer (SSO). Security expertise includes in-depth knowledge of DoD personnel security processes and regulations, the Defense Information System for Security (DISS), security facility entry/exit monitoring systems and processes, and relevant experience in Special Security office management. This position requires the ability to analyze data from various sources and make appropriate program recommendations to the SSO, and will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of existing and in-progress secure facilities during construction. This position also requires a candidate who can manage facets of a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) program including physical, personnel, information and industrial security.

Requirements

  • Bachelors and six (6) years or more experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience; PhD and zero (0) years or more experience; four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting SCIF facilities/programs.
  • Maintain a TS/SCI security clearance at all times and be Special Access Program (SAP)/STO eligible.
  • Ability to work and lead in a team environment with demonstrated experience in a range of security disciplines and excellent customer interface skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to operate in a demanding environment while executing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient and skilled in the most current version of Microsoft Office software.
  • Strong verbal and written communications.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Performing briefings: Indoctrination, Indoctrination Assists, Debriefings, Annual Refresher Training, Defense Travel Briefing, and Courier Briefing.
  • Granting access to Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) Physical Access, Outgoing Visit Requests, Incoming Visit Requests, Intelligence Badge Requests, Systems Account Requests, and SCI Requests for Access.
  • Supplying technical expertise on Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and Access Control System requirements for the SCIF.
  • Scheduling and facilitating meetings with SCIF accreditation stakeholders and facilitating the overarching accreditation process.
  • Assisting the Special Security Officer (SSO) during Preliminary Inquiries to resolve SCI Security incidents.
  • Utilizing technical expertise in initiating and leading construction or maintenance planning projects involving SCIF Operations.
  • Developing, updating, and managing lifecycle documents for the management of a SCIF.
  • Assisting the SSO in the performance of annual lifecycle management and inspections in accordance with ICD-705 and applicable policies and procedures.
  • Managing the Special Security Officer (SSO) Customer Service email Inbox and processing Requests for SCI access (RFA).
  • Providing ongoing organizational analysis and technical support of Marine Corps, Department of the Navy, and Department of Defense security policies and procedures.
  • Supporting controlling and maintaining appropriate databases (e.g DISS/EQIP/NBIS).
  • Providing exercise support to the MAGTF, as required.
