About The Position

The Reconciliation Services department facilitates the reconciliation of cash for most AdventHealth entities. The department is responsible for upfront reconciliation, payment posting, backend reconciliation and posting corrections. The Accountant is responsible for posting the journal entries related to these functions. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business related degree required

Nice To Haves

• Experience posting journal entries
• Familiarity with business concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Experience with the cash posting process for patient and insurance payments and/or with the reconciliation of cash receipts.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate comprehension of AdventHealth cash posting policies and banking processes to appropriately record journal entries.
• Research discrepancies that occur within the cash posting process and record the necessary corrections.
• Identify trends and improvement opportunities to optimize the process.
• Perform the necessary research and/or data collection to produce documentation for special projects and clearly articulate results.
• Use independent judgement to research and make recommendations to Reconciliation Services leadership for areas of process improvement.
• Manage assigned projects by prioritizing work to meet established deadlines ensuring objectives are accomplished while keeping management informed of projects statuses.
• Develop and maintain productive team-oriented relationships through individual contacts and group meetings.
