Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Special Products Truck Engineer I-II based at our Warehouse Product Development Center (WPDC) in Greenville, NC. Level placement is based on experience, technical expertise, and scope of responsibility. Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Engineering
  • 0-2 years of industry experience (for Engineer I)
  • 2-4 years of industry experience (for Engineer II)
  • Basic understanding of technical drafting principles (for Engineer I)
  • Basic proficiency with computer‑aided design (CAD) software (for Engineer I)
  • Basic ability to develop and interpret design layouts (for Engineer I)
  • Foundational knowledge of engineering analysis concepts (for Engineer I)
  • Proficient in drafting techniques for engineering and manufacturing applications (for Engineer II)
  • Experienced in using computer‑aided design (CAD) software and related tools (for Engineer II)
  • Able to perform engineering analysis to support design and problem‑solving efforts (for Engineer II)
  • Capable of developing detailed design layouts for components and assemblies (for Engineer II)
  • Working knowledge of mechanical or automotive systems, design principles, industry standards, and manufacturing processes (for Engineer II)

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop components and assemblies for industrial vehicles, ensuring they meet performance, durability, and reliability requirements.
  • Document design specifications to support manufacturing.
  • Work with manufacturing teams to optimize products for efficient and cost-effective production.
  • Support production processes on-site during key phases such as prototype, pilot, and initial production runs.
  • Maintain and update detailed design documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project tasks, ensure accuracy, and timely completion.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members working on the project.
