About The Position

The position involves performing all angiographic and interventional procedures, as well as all radiographic procedures. The candidate should have at least two years of experience in general radiography and six months of special procedures is preferred. The role is based at the Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) and is a regular employee position with a scheduled weekly workload of 40 hours.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree from an AMA approved school of radiological technology.
  • Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists, Cardio-Interventional Vascular Registry (CIVR) or Cardio-Interventional Vascular Therapy (CIVT).
  • At least two years of experience in general radiography.
  • Six months of experience in special procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all special procedures to an acceptable level to the radiologist.
  • Operate angiography equipment, including contract injections, stints, catheters, and guide wires.
  • Document all patient history, impressions, and other information accurately.
  • Label films and other patient records properly.
  • Ensure patient comfort with the use of all accessories, including management of IV pumps and supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to address their comfort needs.
  • Perform general radiography exams, including those involving pacemakers and operating room procedures.
  • Maintain supplies and equipment to ensure optimal patient care, safety, and convenience.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as required.
