About The Position

A clinically competent certified radiology technologist who demonstrates professionalism and is able to operate radiological equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary Cath Lab team. Carries out established Cath Lab policies and procedures and also follows hospital policies in performance of duties. Demonstrates investment in the overall forward movement of the unit and the organization. Applies good interpersonal and communication processes utilizing verbal and non-verbal skills. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year experience as a Special Procedures Technologist performing related work.
  • Current Certified Radiologic Technologist certification in the State of California
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Amer Registry of Radiologic Tech CRT-Fluoro Permit

  • Satisfactorily completes the orientation program and at the end of the probationary period meets the minimum standard requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Scrub and circulate in at least one Cath Lab clinical discipline i.e., cardiac, neuro or electrophysiology.
  • Displays professional commitment and supports the unit team by promoting unity and teamwork among coworkers by maintaining a positive attitude and positive working relationships.
  • Documentation and information processing.
  • Performs timely physiologic recordings and calculations such as V-grams.
  • Demonstrates competence in Dicom, download, archive, restore studies on PACS system.
  • Keeps current with inventory control.
  • Orders supplies as needed pay attention to budget guidelines.
  • Responsible for quality cardiac, neuro and radiological imaging including proper exposure factors and patient positioning.
  • Demonstrates knowledge, competency of angiographical techniques and in physiologic monitoring during various procedures.
  • Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of radiological equipment.
  • Responsible for understanding and participating in the organization-wide Performance Improvement Program through orientation, education, departmental and interdepartmental quality control, performance improvement, and quality planning activities.
  • Responsible to cover call in selected clinical disciplines
