About The Position

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Radiologic Technologist or RCIS certified professional to join our team. This position requires an Associate's degree from an approved school of Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Interventional Technology program, or an ARRT or RCIS graduate from a Cardiovascular Interventional Training program, or two years' work experience in Interventional Radiology or a similar modality. The role involves performing diagnostic tests and therapeutic exams, ensuring readiness of emergency equipment, and providing quality patient care. The technologist will also be responsible for maintaining departmental records and promoting excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree from an approved school of Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Interventional Technology program required.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist ARRT (R) or RCIS certification required.
  • BCLS CPR certification required.
  • Advanced certification required within one year of hire date (ARRT CV, CI, or VI).
  • ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment.
  • Ensures readiness of emergency equipment and supplies.
  • Performs or assists in performing procedures and/or diagnostic tests and/or therapeutic exams.
  • Provides instruction, education, and consultation to health care personnel and patients.
  • Maintains coordination of activities with others to accomplish work objectives.
  • Maintains files and compiles records according to procedure.
  • Seeks out learning opportunities to increase knowledge and education.
  • Ensures patient needs are met and provides quality care.
  • Provides technologist coverage for 24-hour emergency Neuro Endovascular and Vascular Interventional services.
  • Provides age-developmental appropriate care in accordance with Age/Developmental Specific Guidelines.
