Peoria Spine is seeking a skilled and motivated Special Procedures Radiologic Technologist to join our team full-time. Requirements

Associate’s degree in radiologic technology
ARRT Certification (Required)
2–4 years of special procedures experience in a hospital or clinical environment
Routine fluoroscopy and imaging of the head, spine, and extremities under physician supervision
Examination protocols, sterile technique, and special procedure workflows
HIPAA, OSHA, and radiology safety regulations
Departmental safety and infection control procedures
Strong technical skill producing high-quality radiology exams
Proficiency entering and retrieving patient information from EMR systems
Ability to maintain positive, professional interactions with patients, families, and staff
Experience with imaging equipment, fluoroscopy, and film/digital processing
Excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

Review physician orders and determine required imaging procedures
Assist physicians and fellow Rad Techs with complex special procedures
Position patients to achieve high-quality, clinically useful images
Explain procedures, answer patient questions, and ensure patient comfort
Document patient medical history, procedures performed, and maintain accurate records
Prepare and set up procedure rooms, ensuring all sterile and non-sterile supplies are available and functioning
Operate and adjust imaging equipment, setting appropriate exposure factors
Perform quality control tasks, monitor equipment performance, and report issues to management
Coordinate workflow and support other Rad Techs when multi-person procedures are required
Assist with general administrative tasks such as answering phones and scheduling
