About The Position

Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital is offering a full-time position for a Senior Special Procedure Tech in the Cath Lab. The hospital has been serving the Southeast Michigan community since 1953 and is known for its clinical excellence and innovation in various medical fields. The Senior Special Procedure Tech will provide direct care to patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures, assisting physicians and delivering quality patient/family centered care. Responsibilities include performing IV starts, prepping patients, monitoring hemodynamics, operating equipment, documenting procedures, managing vascular access sites, and providing patient/family education.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited radiography program (JRCERT) for Interventional Radiology.
• Graduate of Cardiovascular Technologist program or equivalent training for Cath Lab/EP Lab.
• More than 3 years of Interventional experience.
• Expertise in clinical skills relevant to the department and ability to train others.
• BLS certification and active RT status upon hire for IR; RT-CV or VI registration required.
• BLS and ACLS certification upon hire for Cath Lab; Registered RCES/RCIS/RT certification and IABP certification required.
• BLS and ACLS certification upon hire for EP Lab; Registered RCIS/RCES/RT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care pre, intra, and post Heart and/or Vascular procedures.
• Assist physicians during procedures.
• Perform IV starts and prep patients.
• Monitor hemodynamics and operate equipment.
• Document procedures and manage vascular access sites.
• Provide patient/family education.
