About The Position

Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital has proudly served residents across Southeast Michigan since 1953. With 632 beds, Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital is a major teaching and research hospital and home to five residency programs and a cardiology fellowship in partnership with Wayne State University School of Medicine. Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital is verified as a Level II trauma center and accredited by the Joint Commission as a primary stroke center. The hospital is also known for clinical excellence and innovation in the fields of orthopedics, neurosciences, women's health, heart and vascular and cancer care. Under limited supervision, the Senior Special Procedure Tech provides direct care pre, intra, and post for patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures to assist physicians and delivers quality patient/family centered care. The incumbent may be required to perform IV starts, prep patients, monitor hemodynamics, operate equipment, document procedures, vascular access site management, and provide patient/family education.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited radiography program (JRCERT) for Interventional Radiology.
  • Graduate of Cardiovascular Technologist program, associate degree in cardiovascular technology/basic science, Paramedic license, Exercise Physiologist, or equivalent training and/or education for Cath Lab/EP Lab.
  • More than 3 years of Interventional experience.
  • Expertise in clinical skills relevant to the department and/or site scope.
  • BLS certification and active RT status upon hire for IR; RT-CV or VI registration.
  • BLS and ACLS upon hire, Registered RCES/RCIS/RT certification, and IABP certification for Cath Lab.
  • BLS and ACLS upon hire for EP Lab; Registered RCIS/RCES/RT.

Responsibilities
