About The Position

The Special Operations Strength and Conditioning Specialist at KBR is responsible for establishing and administering effective strength and conditioning protocols aimed at maximizing the physical performance of Special Operations Forces (SOF) personnel. This role focuses on designing training programs, coordinating recovery protocols, and providing instruction on physical training techniques, all while ensuring safety and compliance with established guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in exercise science, health science, or physical education-related discipline.
  • Current certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing performance programs for athletes.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status required.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance.
  • Fluent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Current CPR certification including AED training.
  • Physical proficiency to demonstrate exercises and hike over rough terrain.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior military and/or SOF experience.
  • Master's degree in exercise science, health science, or physical education-related discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Design, administer, evaluate, and document physical training protocols under supervision.
  • Coordinate training programs for SOF personnel recovering from injury.
  • Implement physical training programs for personnel who are TDY/TAD or deployed.
  • Provide instruction and guidance on physical training and injury avoidance.
  • Refer personnel with medical conditions to appropriate medical providers.
  • Assist in developing facility standard operating procedures and training protocols.
  • Participate in meetings to review and evaluate training programs.
  • Conduct in-service training for HP staff and/or POTFF staff as needed.
  • Attend required training and conferences for continuing education.
  • Perform administrative duties including maintaining records and participating in quality assurance functions.
  • Develop training materials as required by the HP program Manager.
