Special Needs Caregiver - $25/hr in Brentwood, LA!
About The Position
In this role, you will provide in-home care to children, teenagers, and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DDs). You will follow individualized client care plans and provide periodic progress updates to the care team. Services may include: personal care (bathing/showering & toileting assistance), meal preparation, companionship, and light housekeeping. Services provided are non-medical Pay rates for this position are set by assignment and vary depending on client location and services required. Expected CA pay rate for this assignment is $25/hr. Orientation is paid at $16.50/hr Provider must be willing to work in the Brentwood neighborhood between the hours of 8AM-8PM AND occasionally provide transportation to client using provider's own car. Valid CA driver's license and proof of insurance are required.
Requirements
- AT LEAST 6 MONTHS OF DISABILITY CAREGIVING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Great communication skills
- Problem solving skills
- Reliability and punctuality
- Valid CA driver's license
- Proof of insurance
Nice To Haves
- Ability to travel to different cities highly desired
- Two references – at least one reference must be able to confirm disability-related experience
- Adult, Child, and Infant CPR and First Aid Certification(s) – reimbursement available!
