Requirements

  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 25 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Ability to work with hazardous materials and in an environment with fumes and chemicals
  • High School diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Basic skills in computer operation, verbal and written communication, and mathematics.
  • Familiarity with basic ERP systems.
  • Experience with vacuum systems, pressure systems, ovens, and reading equipment gauges

Responsibilities

  • Work from Specifications: Follow detailed instructions, including specifications, prints, layouts, route or process sheets.
  • Use of Hand Tools: Utilize various hand tools such as viscometers, thermometers, mixers, solder pots, fixtures, plates, ovens, impregnation chambers, vernier scales, and capacitor presses.
  • Mixing Compounds: Prepare impregnation compounds according to formulas, log data, and check viscosity and temperature to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Component Preparation: Pre-tin, stack fixtures, bake, vacuum dry, and impregnate components as needed.
  • Component Cleaning: Unload fixtures and clean components after processing.
  • Tank Cleaning: Clean impregnation tanks using solvents as required.
  • Quality Checks: Inspect work at specified intervals to ensure it meets operating standards.
  • Machine Operation: Set up and operate machinery part-time, performing other necessary departmental functions while the machine runs through its cycle.
  • Follow Instructions: Adhere to directions and read work instructions carefully to ensure proper execution of tasks.
