About The Position

Join our remarkable Radiology team at Novant Health, where you'll support imaging services that help diagnose and treat patients every day. The Radiology Assistant works under the supervision of the Department Manager and Lead CT Technologist to assist technologists during imaging procedures and maintain radiology records, ensuring seamless workflow and exceptional patient care.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills required; prior experience with a Radiology Information System preferred.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Prepare patients for exams and explain procedures to ensure comfort and understanding.
• Transport patients safely to and from imaging areas using stretchers, wheelchairs, or beds.
• Assist technologists with imaging procedures and post-processing for radiologist interpretation.
• Maintain and organize radiology records, data entry, and image tracking through the Radiology Information System.
• Perform basic clerical and support duties, maintain clean work areas, and restock supplies.
• Support patient safety and uphold the principles of 'First Do No Harm.'
